Book Chompers was designed to show kids that reading is fun.  "We are taking a bite out of illiteracy one book at a time"

 

The idea first came to me while I was in my room reading a book. While I was reading, I thought how cool would it be to have a companion to help me get through it.  The ideas came rushing in my mind.  How can I have a companion to help me read, but also act as a functioning tool?  That is when I came up with the idea of creating not only a companion, but also as a bookmark.  I then started to design a few ideas and once I finished one of them, I was so excited that I went and told my dad.  He said that it is a great idea and told me that we need to come up with a name.  After brainstorming we came up with the name "Book Chompers." The name fit because the design I made had teeth and was taking a bite out of the corner of the page.  Brilliant!   We spent countless hours on thinking how we can take this idea and share it with the world.  We looked online and download royalty free monsters, eyes, mouths and accessories.  

 

My goal is to have Book Chompers raise money for kids in need, and to teach kids reading is fun.  It's important to me because reading is not just a book, it is an adventure just waiting for kids to go on.  Kids can utilize the story to make it fun to read and prepare them to go to the next level in life.
